Modern Languages & ESL

 

We offer both group and online language tuition in Spanish, French and German, for students aged from 7 to 18, as well as offering tuition for those learning English as a Second Language. 

 

Our lessons are fun, interactive and filled with listening and speaking activities including stories and games for younger years and role play situations for older students. Online language classes, led by tutor Cerys, aim to help students recognise the logic which underpins grammar points while balancing this with the opportunity to use new language as a creative outlet. Cerys is experienced in tutoring students both for school qualifications up to A Level as well as students whose aim is a less formal desire to improve language competency.

 

Our ESL lessons, led by tutor Elisabeth, are supplemented with songs and props where applicable to engage students and provide full understanding of new words and concepts. We use the 'English for Everyone' series and supplement work using resources including Cambridge English and the British Council’s learning tools. Many of our students are currently choosing to follow the Cambridge English Qualifications which offer a clear path to improve language skills with opportunity to progress via external examinations.
