Yoga, Literacy & Emotional Wellbeing Tools

Is your child at a loose end on a Friday afternoon? Would they like to come to a fun and inclusive after school session where they can move their bodies, develop their emotional wellbeing, express themselves with spoken word and make new friends?
With several of our tutor team working in the fields of yoga, psychology and the arts, alongside their tutoring work, we wanted to create a space where our students could benefit from these skills.
We will be running the session from approximately 4-6pm on Fridays and we are happy to accommodate earlier arrivals. Our planned location is The Kors Room, at the Coplestone Church in Peckham. We currently have space for 8 children aged 7-11 and we hope to open the doors to our KS1 children also in the near future.
The session will consist of 50 minutes of yoga led by either Jenny or Pascale, both qualified and insured children’s yoga teachers, followed by 50 minutes of literacy, drama & activities designed to promote emotional intelligence. The second session will be supported by alternating tutors, inclusive of Paige, who currently works as a children’s mental health researcher alongside her tutoring work, Freya who is a working actor and Sarah, a working actor, writer and poet.
We are hoping to create an enjoyable, relaxing and engaging space for our students, a place to make new friends and be exposed to skills which may not be on offer at school. We can’t wait to lend our passions to the children and perhaps plant a seed for their own futures. Please do let us know if you are interested in a space for your child.
